Marybel Gonzalez, LMFT
Marybel Gonzalez graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor's of Arts in Print Journalism. She worked in movie production offices, KCET, KPFK, and has recently contributed articles to Collective Evolution. She studied psychology at Brandman after being moved to create change in the mental health industry after learning of a school shooting of young children on tv and being deeply affected. Marybel studied at Brandman University (a Chapman College) in Victorville, California and graduated in December 2015. She began working providing therapy first as an intern at Family Assistance program, a non profit providing services in Victorville to victims of domestic violence in 2013. She interned there for 1 year, before moving on to Behavior Awareness Center where she did a summer internship in the summer of 2014. From 2016 to to 2019 she was employed at New Horizons Counseling. She launched Ascension Psychotherapy in December of 2018 where she currently works full time.
